Hi, I’m Ulrika, welcome to Stockholm, my hometown. I grew up just a few blocks away from the city Hall.
Being a Stockholm native, I’ll take you off the beaten track as well as to the famous sights such as Vasa Museum, Skansen – and of course, our City Hall.
You may ask yourself what is typically Swedish and what do Swedes do in their day to day life? I’ll explain the Swedish society, everyday life and our traditions.
If you are a foodie I can guide you through the culinary Stockholm. Why not try typical Swedish food at the food court Östermalmshallen or have a cosy fika in Gamla stan. Or why not take a walk in the neighborhood of Södermalm, my favourite part of the city where you find relaxed bars and a lots of small boutiques.
If you are into design I’ll show you the best places to experience Swedish and Nordic design.
I am a fully authorised Stockholm guide with a bachelor degree in fine arts from Stockholm university. My degree includes ethnology, art history, theatre history, and additional studies in other historical fields such as the Viking age and philosophy.
Apart from being a guide I’m also a published writer, journalist and lecturer.
I’m specialised in gardens, parks and garden history. So if you are an avid gardener, let me show you the Royal National City Park or the Woodland cemetery, a UNESCO heritage site and another UNESCO heritage site I’d take you to is the beautiful Drottningholm Palace and gardens.
