Hello and welcome to beautiful Stockholm!

My name is Ingela, and I have worked as a teacher of History and Spanish for more than 25 years. As an authorized Stockholm guide, I have the privilege of doing what I love most – telling stories, teaching, and sharing the history, culture, and fascinating anecdotes that make our beautiful capital so unique.

In my guided tours, I always strive to bring history to life through images, vivid stories about ordinary people, and by constantly moving between the broader historical context and specific details. Inspiring curiosity and engagement in my guests is what drives me, and at heart I will always be a teacher . History is my passion, but connecting the past to the present is just as important in understanding how society has evolved.

There are countless ways to discover our capital city: through panoramic tours by bus or boat, walking tours along winding medieval alleyways, or visits to one of Stockholm’s 87 outstanding museums, such as the Vasa Museum, Skansen or City Hall. The Royal Palace in Gamla Stan and Drottningholm Palace, the residence of the Swedish royal couple, are also unique settings that I would be delighted to show you. Sweden is one of the world’s oldest monarchies, with a fascinating royal history.

Me llamo Ingela y he trabajado como profesora de Historia y Español durante más de 25 años. Como guía autorizada de Estocolmo, tengo la oportunidad de dedicarme a lo que más me apasiona: contar historias, enseñar y compartir tanto la historia, la cultura y las anécdotas relacionadas con nuestra hermosa capital.

En mis visitas guiadas siempre intento dar vida a las historias mediante imágenes, relatos concretos sobre personas corrientes y alternando constantemente entre lo general y lo particular. Despertar el interés y la curiosidad de mi grupo es mi mayor motivación y, en el fondo, siempre seré profesora . Me apasiona la historia, pero la conexión con el presente es igual de importante para comprender cómo ha evolucionado la sociedad.

Hay infinitas maneras de descubrir nuestra capital: mediante recorridos panorámicos en autobús o en barco, paseos por las sinuosas callejuelas medievales o visitas a alguno de los 87 magníficos museos de Estocolmo, como el Museo Vasa, Skansen o el Ayuntamiento. El Palacio Real, situado en Gamla Stan, y el Palacio de Drottningholm, residencia de nuestros Reyes, son también lugares únicos que me encantará mostrarles. Suecia es una de las monarquías más antiguas del mundo y cuenta con una fascinante historia real.
