Stockholm City Hall
The City Hall is Stockholm’s most famous silhouette. It was built of 8 million bricks of which 1 million were handmade. Enjoy visiting the Blue Hall where the Nobel banquet is held each year on 10 December. The banquet is held here after the Nobel laureates have attended the Nobel Prize Ceremony at the Concert hall. Have a closer look at the brick walls and admire their chiseled patterns.
The Golden Hall is spectacular with its millions of beautiful small glass mosaics.
However the City Hall is not only a beautiful work of architecture but also a political building where the City Council meets regularly. Let a guide tell you more about the Nobel Prizes, how Stockholm is governed and the many ideas of architect Ragnar Östberg.
